I came to the program looking for a way to lose weight. With any prior program, that meant an almost immediate "cut calories and/or work out more" approach to reaching my goals. Level TEN is decidedly NOT that. It's not all or nothing. It's about making lifestyle changes that ultimately lead you to finding the best way to be your best self. And that means eating more, not less; sleeping more (and realizing that that early a.m. workout may not do you as much good as getting an hour of extra sleep will); lifting more weights and doing less cardio; walking more; and I have never, ever focused on eating adequate fiber before. Eat your fiber, kids; it will literally change your life. Now I know how much I need to eat to thrive. I know that when I'm not overly restricting my food that I don't crave sweets as much. And if treats are around, I don't feel an overwhelming drive to just eat them because they are there.

I spent over a year and a half with Shelby, and she helped me navigate a very difficult personal season of my life. She is empathetic when you need her to be, tough when it's called for, and often a voice of reason when your own inner voice is telling you that you've not done enough. I am sad to leave, but I go knowing that she and the program in general have armed me with so many tools that I can use for the rest of my life.
